Privacy Policy
Clear Writer keeps everything you write on your Apple Vision Pro. The app does not collect personal information, and nothing you write leaves your device unless you send it somewhere yourself.
What the app collects
Nothing. Clear Writer has no account, no sign in, no analytics, no advertising, no crash reporting service, and no third party data tools of any kind. The developer receives no information about you or your writing.
Where your writing lives
Each page you write is saved as a plain text file inside the app's own private storage on your Vision Pro, alongside a small index recording the date each page was created and last changed. These files are readable by you and by the app, and by nothing else.
Your display preferences are stored on the device using the system's standard preferences storage. Those preferences are the size of your text, the background behind your words, whether the controls stay visible, whether the word count is shown, and whether you have made your first background choice. Nothing else is stored.
What leaves the device
Only what you send. Clear Writer includes a Share action on each page in the Journal panel. Choosing it hands that page's text to Apple's standard share sheet, where you decide what happens next, such as copying it, saving it to Files, or sending it in a message. Until you choose a destination, nothing is transmitted.
The Privacy policy and Support links inside the app open these public pages in your browser. They require no account and collect no information about you.
Keyboard and dictation
Clear Writer uses Apple's standard keyboard and dictation. If you dictate, Apple's own speech handling applies, and Apple's privacy policy governs that processing. Clear Writer never records audio and never receives audio.
Children
Clear Writer is suitable for all ages and collects no information from anyone, including children.
Deleting your writing
Removing a page from the Journal panel deletes its text file from your device. Deleting the app removes all of its pages, its index, and its preferences. Because the developer never receives your writing, there is no copy anywhere else to request or delete.
Changes to this policy
If this policy ever changes, the updated date at the top of this page will change with it, and the previous behavior will not be applied retroactively to writing already on your device.
